Toothfairy Tin

I have made these several times before {HERE} and {HERE}.  This weekend we were babysitting my 6 yo twin niece and nephew and one of them had lost their first tooth this week – so of course we had to make toothfairy tins!  Carrie chose lots of girly pink things while Sam went with some October Afternoon alien paper.  They both picked out everything for their tins and I used stamps from Melanie Muenchinger’s What’s in Your Tin – a retired Gina K set.

The outsides:

And the insides:

I love making these – they are the perfect size to be used for the toothfairy and they are large enough to keep track of easily!

And be sure to check out my Stamps For Sale – I’m sure you need some of them!!  I recently added several new sets to the list, be sure to look for them!

Happy Father’s Day!

Wishing every one a Happy Father’s Day today!  I made 3 different cards for the people I needed them for – only managed to photograph one.  So here it is!  Hope you are enjoying a lovely Sunday!

Ribbon Carousel – Showers and Flowers

With the start of the new term, our Ribbon Carousel Crewmates have divided up into four teams this term to give our fans and participants more beautiful artwork to be inspired by.  The first Tuesday of each month a new challenge will begin.  Each week, we will show off fabulous projects. It is still a monthly challenge, so the winner will be picked and announced the Monday before the next monthly challenge begins.

This month’s theme is…

Showers and Flowers

I decided to go with a wedding *shower* feel for my card.  I figured we are close to wedding season and surely I’ll need a card for a shower at some point.  Or someone will anyway.  I used a sentiment from Tami Mayberry’s Block Greetings as the focal point.  Then I used a few images and dies from the Unity set Blossom Stackers and the coordinating Blossom Tags and Accents from Spellbinders.  The paper is from Prima’s Fairy Belle collection.  I even broke out some felt for one of the layers.   Of course – it’s finished off with ribbon!

Merry Christmas!

Since I am pretty busy with family stuff for the next few days, I thought it would be fun to post some of my older stuff that you may or may not have seen before – but is just some of my favorite stuff!

Hope you are enjoying time with your family and loved ones!  MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Running Out….

Nothing is worse than running out of something when you are making multiples.  My stepmom requested a bunch of this card:

And halfway through the stack, I ran out of ribbon.  I had some red grosgrain that worked ok, but didn’t really complete the look quite the same.  I hate that.  One huge disadvantage to almost all crafty stores being online – nowhere to run out to buy more at when you need it that very minute!  Oh well – here’s to planning better next time!  Hope you are all having a wonderful Holiday season!

I just have one card for you today – I combined both sets for one last Christmas card.  I used Perfect Plaids by Tami Mayberry to do the border in the background and the latest Buy 3 Get 1 FREE set, Snow One Like You, for the main image.

So like – sometimes I totally don’t realize stuff about a card until I see the photo of it in photoshop – like the image is slightly crooked or whatever.  I noticed that this one has four snowmen, one in each corner.  Totally didn’t plan it that way, but there it is.  Just funny the stuff you don’t see until later.

I adore this set from Beth Silaika, Sentimental Holidays.  It has some of the best holiday sentiments – I love that!  I went with a square card today.  Just a bit of bling on the tree and a simple CAS Christmas card!

Now y’all know how much I LOVE flower stamps – you can really never have too many of those.  And Theresa Momber illustrates some of the best!  Elegant Florals is just that – elegant!  I didn’t get to really play too much with it – our house has been sick since Thanksgiving – the joys of traveling!  But I did need a sympathy card, so I whipped this one up.  I adore the sentiments in this set – some really lovely ones.  I am almost as much of a sucker for sentiments as I am for flowers!

First up today, I have Melanie Muenchinger’s newest set – Lots of Letters!  So many great uses for this set.  I still needed a few Christmas cards, so I went with that theme.  Again, I like the non-traditional colors.  I love the pink and mint.  Accented with a bit of bling.

I also have something Becky Oehlers, Warm Woolen Mittens.  It’s so incredibly cute!  And super easy to make cute mittens with!  I made this one and the only time consuming part was cutting out the mittens.  Love that!

First up for the last day of the Inspiration Hop is something from the latest StampTV kit, Merry Little Christmas.  This kit is fantastic – it has a beautiful set called City of David and a fun holiday set called Merry Little Christmas.  I chose to use City of David for this card.  I love the silhouette images and the sentiments.

Lastly, I have the latest Buy 3 Get 1 FREE!  Holiday Tags is super cute and easy to use!  I don’t usually take the time to make my own tags, but I made these 4 in about five minutes this evening – and using random scraps from my previous holiday cards this week!  Gotta love that!  I think I’ll make use of some more of my holiday paper scraps and do some more!
