Gina K Blog Hop – Day 3!

Hello!  On the final day of blog hopping for this release, I have just one card to share with you.  This is the newest Buy 3 Get 1 FREE set, Bold and Beautiful! And as always, these sets just rock.  I always love them.  They are always so useful and pretty.  And this time is no exception!

Since I had my Doodlebug glitter out from the melon card yesterday, I decided to go with something fairly simple and then glitter it up!  I also had some leftover quarter sheets from my Grunge Damask papers, and I noticed the orchid piece matched the newer Wild Lilac Pure Luxury perfectly!  So I used some markers to ink up the stamp, then a quickie glue pen to glitter the flower portion.   I also used some felt I found to layer the image, I think the pop of green (which matches the Green Apple Pure Luxury I used) adds a little something.  Now my sewing is not the best here, I still need help figuring out the whole *tension* thingie.  And sewing over lace…..not so easy!  It slips, and it ended up slightly crooked…but I do like the end result!

Be sure to check out the other Design Team blogs to see their fabulous projects!  And also, stop back by tomorrow when I will be hosting a challenge on StampTV!

Gina K Blog Hop – Day 2!

Today I have 3 different sets to share with you.  One of them also uses another of my Grunge Damask papers as well.  Be sure to check out the other Design Team links at the end of the post for more fantastic samples!

First up is Make A Splash by Asela Hopkins.  This set is so adorable!  Adam used it for a book he is making for school this weekend.  I paired it with some nautical papers by October Afternoon.  My favorite part is the glitter!  You can never have enough sparkle!

Next up is Warm With Love by Theresa Momber.  I paired this with some of my Grunge Damask papers.  They matched quite well with Lovely Lavender and Moonlit Fog Pure Luxury papers!

And lastly, I have Bring the Bling by Melanie Muenchinger!  I paired Melanie’s Pressed Flowers with Bring the Bling for this card……and used a TON of bling!  Basically I stamped the swirl stamp from Bring the Bling and then used a Quickie Glue Pen and lots of little gems……man my shoulders were cramping up from hunching over this card!  But it looks spectacular, lol!

Also, the Quarter Sheets for the Grunge Damasks were added to the shop.  So if you would like the papers resized onto two 8.5×11 sheets of card fronts, you can find those {HERE}!

Be sure to stop by and see the rest of the samples from the ever fabulous Design Team!  And as always – Gina will have lots of free stamps to share this week, so watch her blog for all the information on how you can win!

Gina K Blog Hop – Day 1

So we did things a little different this month with the Gina K Designs Release.  The Blog Hop is taking place AFTER the release of the stamps!  So when you see a ton of great samples of a set you just have to have – you can buy it right away!  A few things about this month:

1.  To celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of StampTV, Gina has a great little gift for her customers!  Spend $35 and you get this adorable stamp FREE!  See Celebrate In Style {HERE}!

2.  I finally got some new digital papers released!  It felt so good to work on these and I hope you like them!  They are available in both 8.5×11 and 2 sheets with Card Front sized papers ready to print!  You can find Grunge Damasks {HERE}! (I tried matching to Pure Luxury colors and included names in the paper labels.)

3. A new addition to the Pure Luxury paper line!  Wild Lilac – you can find it {HERE}!

4.  As well as the Celebrate In Style set, there is still a Buy 3 Get 1 FREE stamp set this month!  And it is absolutely lovely!  You can see Stenciled Silhouettes {HERE}!

So here are my samples for today!  First up is Celebrate In Style!  I also used two of the papers from Grunge Damasks.  I printed out the Card Front sheets (I use Brochure and Flyer paper from office supply stores – it comes in Matte and Glossy.  It also prints great on Pure Luxury 80 lb white or ivory as well!) I paper pieced the dress and popped it up on dimensionals.  A paper flower and some bling finished it off!

Next up I have a simple, one-layer card using Stenciled Silhouettes.  I love how this turned out – so sweet and clean.  I didn’t intend these to be the same colors – I made them on different days!  But apparently I like light pink a light green together!  Anyway, I dug out my stamp-a-ma-jig for this one.  The gray was inked up and stamped several times along the bottom.  On the last one, I used markers to color the one flower and carefully inked the other two with the gray stamp pad.  Easy-peasy!

Be sure to stop by and see the rest of the samples from the ever fabulous Design Team!  And as always – Gina will have lots of free stamps to share this week, so watch her blog for all the information on how you can win!

Merry Christmas – Day 2!

Well, we are enjoying some lovely holiday weather – in the mid 70’s.  Gotta love Texa for that!  However, we are spending it al indoors with one super-sick kiddo!  Hopefully he will perk up with the help of some antibiotics – and we won’t spend Christmas with a trashcan by the couch!

Here is Day 2 of the Merry & Bright Kit! You can find all my digital freebies {HERE}!

Vintage Holly

Well – I made it to Gina K’s release party for the last 15 mins!  By the time we got home from a parent meeting at school and got everybody in bed – it was that late!  I’ve never missed a release party before!  I hope that all of you that attended enjoyed yourselves and I know the other DT and CSS peeps had amazing work to share!

I just wanted to remind y’all about Warm Winter Wishes by Carolyn King – 100% of Carolyn’s proceeds from the sale of this set go to the Alzheimer’s Association – so be sure to check that out – it’s adorable!

And here are my newest designs, the Vintage Holly papers!  I have to say, I think these are my most favorite I’ve done so far!  There are 8 8.5×11 papers in the pack and you can find them {HERE}.

Also this month I put together a pack of 2 8.5×11 sheets that will yield 8 cardfront sized versions of the Vintage Holly papers.  This is great for cardmakers – and if you do not have the ability to shrink them yourself (or just don’t want to take the time!) it is done for you right here!  I printed them and used them myself this week and I will definitely be doing this every time – so easy to cut apart and have 4 card fronts ready to go!  You can find them {HERE}!

Laser Tag

Yeah, that’s the title of my post.  The boys and I went to a fun thing yesterday.  The local bowling alley/arcade had a deal where you went from 9am-5pm (well, any time during those hours) and for $22 a person, this is what you got: unlimited bowling, unlimited putt-putt, unlimited laser tag, a hot dog, a drink, and a $10 game card.  So we tried it out!  We never made it to putt-putt, let’s face it – it’s way too hot in the summer here for outdoor mini-golf.  But we did bowl a little, played games, and did a TON of laser tag.  Which was super fun!  I’ve never played before, turns out I am rather awesome!  Anyway, I told the boys we may just have to do that again the last week of summer vacation as an end of summer treat.  I’d way rather do this than go to Six Flags or something outside!

However I did discover that I am too old to run around like that without taking some ibuprofen first!  Oh well, lesson learned!  I am just rather sore today – although I suspect that is from the bowling and skeeball I played.  My Dad and nephew came as well, so we had a good group for playing.  Definitely a ton of fun.  We ended up staying from 10am – 4pm, so I think we got our money’s worth!

Last night Gina K had her release party – which was a lot of fun!  SCS was posting all kinds of crazy – the messages were out of order, it locked up, etc.  But it was still a lot of fun!  I shared a few new cards with the new sets and I will share them here over the next week or so.  But first – I thought I’d show you my new papers available at Gina K Designs.  These coordinate with Theresa Momber’s Timeless Treasures stamp set which you can find {HERE}.

Timeless Treasures Digital Paper Pack

I also made up a little FREE paper pack of some distressed solids that coordinate with the Timeless Treasures pack.  You can find them {HERE}!

I also thought I would share another of the cards I made for this release.   This was another card made using the images from the newest StampTV kit – Signs of Autumn.  I CASE’d this layout from Cat – I loved her card earlier this week!

supplies: Signs of Autumn StampTV kit by Gina K Designs; Pure Luxury layering weight white cardstock; so saffron and purely pomegranate cardstock; Memento Rich Cocoa ink; heat gun;Copic Ciao Markers:  YG00, YG23, E47, E35, E57, Sketch YG25; white poly-twill from previous StampTV kit; BasicGrey Lemonade patterned paper; Classic Circle nestabilities; Circle Piercing template; paper piercer; and dimensionals.

And in case you were curious – I made the pierced circle by taping one of Gina’s piercing templates down with Eclipse tape.  Here’s a pictures so you can see what I mean:

I have some more fun stuff to share tomorrow:  I will share another of my digital products for you to download, a card I found on the card from my camera from months ago, and a new coupon code for Scrapbookpal!
