Happy Birthday Mom….

So it’s not really my mom’s birthday – not til Sept.  But since we’re visiting, I brought her present up with me.  Part of it I made, of course!  Here’s that part!

I knew I wanted to use my favorite GinaK stamp – I am such a sucker for good flowers!!  To match the papers, I outlined the flowers with real red ink and watercolored them in with regal rose ink.

ginak-7-erg-7-07.jpg

Supplies: Flower Trio image and sentiment from GinaK Designs; infuse basicgrey papers; white and regal rose cardstocks;  corner rounder with the guard off (to make scalloped border); dimensionals; niji waterbrush; chocolate chip, timber brown stazon, regal rose, old olive, bashful blue, and real red inks; marvy punches; sponge; chocolate chip marker (to edge scallops); and A Muse twinkle stickers.

Then I did one of those post it note holders with the two monogram pads inside.  It matches the card.

And here is a picture together….

So that was part of her present….I think it turned out pretty!  I hope she doesn’t see it before I give it to her!  Guess I better do that tonight!

CC125: Bashful Cocoa

I made this card to send with my brother-in-law as a little well-wishes for his new teaching endeavor. Didn’t want Keith to be left out with all the cards for the girlies!

I have to say – even with the blog with grid lines, it sure was hard to stamp these straight!!!  This is the color combo for CC125 at SCS.  (bashful blue, close to cocoa, and certainly celery)

faux-ribbon-7-07-erg.jpg

Supplies: certainly celery, white, bashful blue cardstock; oh baby boy basic grey 6×6 pad; versamagic dew drop inks; bashful blue grosgrain ribbon; dimensionals; SU oval punches.

Okie dokie – now get crackin!! I wanna see what you do with these – it’s a pretty easy combo and so pretty!

More Modesty…

I really do love this stamp by Penny Black.  This is another card I sent with Kimberly.  I will guesstimate what colors I used because I don’t have it in front of my anymore!  Hope you are having a lovely weekend – we made it to Blue Springs safe and sound…..I slept most of the way so we made excellent time too!  (I forever nag about not speeding.)

That’s all for now!

On the Road!

We’re hitting the road…a fun 9-11 hr drive.  Good thing the boys are awesome on road trips – we’ve sure done enough of them, lol!  And we’ve got that dvd player for them – we taught Andy to use that remote when he was about 3!  My brother is riding up with us so I plan to take my laptop and do some digiscrapping – gonna hang in the back row with Adam. We’ll see how that goes……I can’t read in the car and most everything makes me sick to my stomach.

But, I wanted to share something my sweet husband made for me.  He gave me this when Kimberly left.

matthew-erg-7-07.jpg

Supplies: cuttlebug; gingham ribbon; a muse sentiment; scalloped punch; dimensionals; MY handwriting font printed out and then punched!

Is that not the sweetest thing??  He said he didn’t have any chocolate to put on it….but he did make me dinner that night.  Anyway – I’ve got a few things saved up for you this next week….I’ll be without stamps though so there will only be a few!!

More getting ready….

so another page for today!  I am getting my hair cut today and then gotta finish everything up to be ready to leave tomorrow. I will be without stamps next week…..so I’ve got a few things to share – but the rest will probably be digiscrapped pages.  Hope that is ok!  And I PROMISE  I have some quickie beginner tutorials in the works on digiscrapping.  Most stuff is already out there in tutorials – specific ones to your photo program.  I do have a few ready for some things that I do though.

This was from a little impromptu photo shoot I did with Adam and Libby the day before she left.  Libby is 6 mos older than Adam -even if she is a foot taller!

Also, I wanted say this to all of you – I apologize if you have asked me questions about digiscrapping and you have been less than satisfied with my response.   Honestly, it just isn’t something that I can tell you how to do in an email!  It’s a little more involved than that, lol!  If you had a specific question, feel free to ask.  However, general how to get started questions…..well, it’s just not feasible that I can explain all that in an email.  I will have some getting started tutorials with pics.  But, it’s also something I just kinda do for me.  I am a paper crafter at heart.  My blog is for me to share whatever I am up to – so I will share both.  But I don’t want to turn it into a digi site – there are plenty of them out there already and most of those people are WAY more experienced that I am!!  So just wanted to get that out there, ok?

Just a little quick page

I am gearing up to spend the week in Kansas City at my mom’s with the boys.  So I haven’t made too many things this week. I did this page last night though.  An old picture of the boys – but it’s one of my favorites.

We’ve almost outgrown my space though…I might have to offer the same class on two nights soon.  I thought I’d share the rest of what we made last night.  And later today I’ll show what we made at class last weekend – I’ve forgotten to take a pic so far!

so….

I think my eyes actually hurt from crying. And I rarely cry. But I did have something else to show you today. I wasn’t just going to leave you with that big black post today. For one thing – I am dumb and I have a class tomorrow night that I have nothing ready for. Let me just apologize now to all the ladies attending in case it sucks!

And I had some stuff to show you too. These are a few things I made for Kimberly and Keith to have on the airplane. First, I’ll share the little cards the boys made to send on the plane with Libby and Katie. They picked all their stuff by themselves…including the little candy treats they put in the envelopes.

Andy’s cards:
