I love the fall stamps GinaK came out with.  I think I want to use the “so much to be thankful for” stamp on everything, lol!  It’s a great sentiment and it’s a great font too!  We made this card at the watercolor class last night….

supplies: image, scallop border and sentiment from GinaK Designs; river rock, old olive and white cardstock; chatterbox papers; niji waterbrush; oval scallop punch; dimensionals; corner rounder and these inks: old olive, cranberry crisp, more mustard, river rock, close to cocoa, stazon, creamy caramel, pumpkin pie, elegant eggplant, ruby red, and really rust.

Stay tuned and perhaps you’ll see a sneak peek or two!  GinaK’s new website launches TONIGHT at midnight!  There will be a chat going in the forum <here> from 10pm – midnight (CST) and PRIZES!! Yep, you *know* how incredibly generous Gina is – she *loves* to give out prizes.  There could even be a challenge or two!!  Seriously, you need to be there!!! The new site will be found <here>.

Happy Halloween!!

Even though it is still a few hours away, I thought I’d share our pumpkins! Every year we get those kits and carve pumpkins. One for each person. Matthew and I started doing this when we were dating and have done it every year since! I usually carve 3 of them and he does the last two. I always end up doing the harder ones. I’ll never let him live down the year he called me at work and said he needed a new pumpkin because he hacked the whole side of his off. (How the heck do you do that?!?!)

Anyway, here are the boys pumpkins:

Andy’s is the spider, Alex’s is ‘Mr. Ribs’, and Adam’s is the skull. (Adam is all into scary stuff……except he is scared of it! He started CRYING in the middle of the halloween aisle at Walmart the other day when we got the pumpkins because something there scared him. Silly guy!)

left to right: Mine is the stack of pumpkins, Andy’s spider, Alex’s skeleton, Adam’s scary dude, and Matthew’s face with the tiny hands. I just love the hands – cracks me up every time.

And how about some adorable Halloween pics? I brought these outfits with me to see the twins so we had to dress them up. The hats and socks were from the $1 spot at Target! The hats were a bit big though….The pumpkin onesie says “Daddy’s Little Pumpkin” and the mummy onesie says “Mummy Loves Me”  (I think?).

as you can see….they took turns tolerating it. Enjoy!

CC138 and some pumpkins~!

Wow, so it’s 2am and I’ve got a field trip to go on with Andy’s 2nd grade class today.  Fun times.  So this will be quick!  You can find the Color Challenge <here>.

Ok, later I’ll share our pumpkins we carved tonight!

wow – big happenings this week!

Besides being totally crazy busy, there’s some awesome stuff coming this week!  The biggest thing is the Grand Opening of Gina K’s new website!  It’s gonna be fabulous guys!  She’s really got some fantastic stuff in store!!  Be watching her blog (and all the other design team members – we might have some sneak peeks for you!) for all the new things she has for ya!

Today I’ve  just got another tin for ya.  I think I always have these around – they will be Christmas gifts for the boys teachers again (with cards inside).  I just love to make them.  Usually I have a few in my closet for no particular purpose….made up, ready to go.  The tutorial I did on them can be found <here> and I made my little template for the notch by pressing the paper up to the notch and then cutting it out – then when I got it trimmed up well, I traced it on some thicker cardstock and cut that and saved it.  No scientific way to it, sorry!

supplies: basicgrey pheobe papers; mod podge; foam brush; grosgrain ribbon; prima flowers; glue dots; heidi swapp and making memories acrylic paints; o’so sticky strip; provo craft lunch tin; and sanding block.

So my crazy busy week!

Monday – Finish stuff for watercolor classes this week and make apple pie to eat while we carve pumpkins (carve FIVE pumpkins!! Matthew will help though.)

Tuesday – Field Trip with Andy’s class – woohoo! And a class on watercoloring (I am offering this class Tuesday and Thursday this week so I can do a much smaller group – watercoloring is time consuming!!)

Wednesday – Halloween!  trick or treating, of course!  And GinaK’s new website launches at midnight!  Don’t miss the party <here> !

Thursday – Recheck on the foot at the surgeon’s and the second of the watercoloring classes.

Fun times, huh?

I’m home!

Yay!  I’m home! And I actually got a little sleep last night too!  I’ve got another quickie post today, but hopefully I’ll back to my regular posts tomorrow (ie rambling!).  So here’s another card from our class last week.  It was inspired by Kendra again!  Her stuff rocks!

Infuse tin

A tin I made last week for the open house….

supplies: provo craft lunch tin; infuse papers by basicgrey; mod podge; ribbon; primas; sanding block; making memories paint; and foam brush.

You can find my tutorial on how I do these <here>.

Name letters

I am afraid all my posts this week will be rather quick.  I got the letters to do names for the boys bedrooms an embarrassing 6 mos ago.  So far, only Alex’s are done.  Well, I got Andy’s done last week.  He chose rocket ship and dino papers from Around The Block.  The letters are from Michael’s and run $2.99.  I mod podge the paper on, sand the edges and seal it with sealant.

Adam had chosen Thomas papers, but now wants red and robots – anyone know of any like that?
