Class Card – Simple Floral

Here is another super-quick card that you can really adjust the sentiment for any occassion. I used a large floral set from SU along with sentiments from A Muse.  A corner rounder and a few drops of liquid pearls and that’s it!  I think it would make a great set of cards to give as a gift:  either several in the same color but with different sentiments or do different colors and have a rainbow of cards!

Class Card – Owls

I love this card.  I have recently become addicted to October Afternoon papers.  Seriously addicted.  I have a huge box of them waiting for me as soon as I get my stamp room unpacked!  Anyway – since I have been reading the Harry Potter books outloud to the boys this summer, I thought a cute owl card would be great to write them a little note on sometime.  Since I don’t have a real owl to send them a message – a little *owl mail* might work instead!  This card is incredibly simple and quick – but I really love the look!

Gina K Flowers

Today I have another quick post – a Gina K card using flowers, of course!  This is a very simple one – but I found the image lying around in my stamp room with it punched out using the Nestabilities bracket as well as a mat for it.  No idea why I never finished it!  Then I found the pre-stamped background piece as well.  I figured I’d just put them all together and voila!  Easy, simple card!

I adore that deep, rich color of Smoky Slate – one of Gina K’s Pure Luxury cardstock shades.

Class Cards – Squares

This is one of the EASIEST cards I have ever done.  Stamp a sentiment on a small strip of cardstock.  Round the top corners.  Round only opposite corners of your layers.  Assemble.  Seriously, that’s it!  I chose some gorgeous paper from Graphic 45 (you know how I love them!) along with a sentiment from A Muse.  I love the elegant, different look to the opposite rounded corners.  And it took only a few minutes start to finish!

Card Class – Manly Card

One of the more difficult things to make for me is a masculine card.  I wanted to have at least one in the classes we did before I left though.  I put this one together using a PTI set, a wave pattern I printed out from Nichole Heady’s blog (and slightly modified), and an A Muse sentiment.  The patterned paper is from Basic Grey.  I really do love how it turned out.  You could put any number of sentiments on here and use it for a man.  Or it could be used for a woman as well!

* No, you are not seeing fuzzy – I accidentally stamped the tree leaves twice on this one!  Sorry about that! *

Class Cards

Well – I had intended to upload several class cards as well as a few projects I did before closing up the stamp room for moving…..but turns out we will be without internet for the next week until Verizon can come out and hook it up!  Bummer!  I will try to get as many pre-posted before we check out of Guest Housing tomorrow though.  Who knows – perhaps some neighbor won’t have a password on their network!

Anyway, it’s late and I’ve got to get to bed tonight so it’ll be a quick post today.  This is a card I did using one of the button sets from Papertrey Ink.  I kinda need those sets in order to use buttons.  See, I love buttons.  I love looking at them in jars or bags all nicely colored.   But I have a terrible time actually using them!  I just never think they look right on my own creations!  So this was a very simple card using a Scor-pal, a PTI button set, a PTI polka-dot background set (LOVE THOSE!) and some buttons.  I also used Gina K’s kraft cardstock here – I really adore Kraft paper and hers is delightful!

Of course that is an A Muse sentiment – I do love their fonts!  And the polkadots are stamped in New Canvas Palette ink – my favorite way to do dots!

Yep – I am finally getting out of Texas!  For those of you that have known me long – you know I have a love/hate relationship with the state.  I hate the heat and the allergies, but I love wearing flip flops 10 months out of the year!

Anyway – Matthew has returned to active duty in the military and we are relocating to a new base.  So if you’ve been wondering why I haven’t participated in Gina K’s releases lately – that’s why!  All my stuff is in boxes at the moment.

We have arrived safe and sound in Virginia – we are about 30 minutes south of Washington, DC.  It’s beautiful out here!  I love sitting outside watching the boys play at the park and NOT SWEATING buckets!!

We’ve found a house to rent and we will get our boxes next week.  So I will still be in and out for awhile yet.  I do have some cards to share that I did for the last two classes I squeezed in before we left Texas.  I had a great group of ladies that came to card classes there and I will greatly miss those nights.  And those ladies!

Stay tuned for some class cards over the next few days – they are a bit on the simpler side as to be doable in a class setting.  I hope you are all off to a lovely fall!
