I hope you all were able to stop by the Gina K Release Party over at StampTV.   There were some amazing samples shared – you can find them all in the Featured Gallery {HERE}! I also had another card with Nesting by Asela Hopkins. This is the idea I had in my head when I saw this set…

Then I thought perhaps I’d try it with a sentiment and bling at the bottom…so I did a second one like this:

I really don’t even know which one I like better!  But I really like the clean, simplicity of this card.  Melanie Muenchinger posted one with almost the same idea on her blog!  Great minds think alike I guess!

Gina K Sneak Peek – Day 3!

Just one peek to share today – and it’s from the Buy 3 Get 1 FREE set!  Gina always designs such fabulous sets for this monthly special – and this one is no exception!  Floral Wreath has the most gorgeous wreath image that just begs to be watercolored.  And the sentiments that accompany this are some of my all-time favorites.  I just adore these and I know that I”ll be using them often!

I decided to watercolor this to match some Amy Butler paper I had.  I am a bit addicted to Amy Butler fabrics and papers –  not that I use them much, but I love to just look at them!  Anyway, I’ve been trying to use them more often instead of just having a section filled with them in my patterned paper files.  This one is one of my favorites.  I was going to pair it with the coordinating polka dots – but decided this called for a bit more elegant presentation.  So I went with some pink ribbon.

I also had to share something my youngest (Adam, age 7) made for me this evening.  He wanted to play with Theresa Momber’s The Giving Tree.  He did this for me while I was working on something else in my stamp room.  He chose the colors and stamped it all by himself.  He even came over and cleaned his stamps and put everything away!  I’ve taught him well, lol!

Be sure to check out the other Design Team Member blogs tonight and join us for the Release Party,  Thursday evening 7pm-10pm CST over at StampTV!!

Gina K Sneak Peek – Day 2!

Today I have two of my most favorite sets from this release to share with you!  Nesting by Asela Hopkins and The Giving Tree by Theresa Momber!

First up is Nesting by Asela Hopkins. I knew right away when I saw this set what I wanted to do with it…..and then I promptly forgot when I sat down with the set!   I ended up making two cards once I remembered though!  Anyway, this was the first card I made (I’ll save the other for the release party!)   I love that the images are so detailed and lovely that they can be stamped and left to stand on their own!  You can color them, of course!  But they look beautiful on their own as well!  I know the nest in this set has eggs in it, but I really wanted to do some masking with the egg trio.  The nest was a bit too small for all 3 eggs, so I didn’t ink one of them up.  Then I used a post-it to cover the eggs an then stamped the nest over it.  That’s it!  I also played around with a few different Nestabilities to make a cool layer effect!

Next up I have The Giving Tree by Theresa Momber.  This set is just so whimsical!  I love all the accents Theresa included to help you make this tree your own.  I knew right away I had to use some October Afternoon paper with it – it matched almost perfectly!  I actually ended up stamping 4 different trees because I just liked making them with different pieces of the set!  My 8 yo also made something with this tree – his words when he saw it “Now this I can work with!”  LOL!  Perhaps he’ll let me share that card later!  Anyway – just a fun, whimsical birthday card!
