Gina K Inspiration Blog Hop – Day 3!

Today I have two more great stamp sets to share.   You Go Girl, by Tami Mayberry, and Pleasant Plurals, By Gina K DesignsPleasant Plurals is the newest Buy 3 Get 1 FREE!

I started off with another version of my card for Wishing You Joy, the newest StampTV kit….only this one has a bit of glitter and a sentiment from Pleasant Plurals.  I think this set is a very useful one!  I ended up cutting the stamp in half to use it the way I wanted, but it can also go back to a single sentiment as well.

Next up, I have the cute and fun set, You Go Girl! So many great uses for this one, but what I really liked is the sentiments Tami included.  I chose simple again for this card and just used some Echo Park paper and Copic markers…

Enjoy!

Gina K Inspiration Blog Hop – Day 2

Hello!  Today I have two great sets to share with you.  This is really the Inspiration Hop for the newest StampTV kit, Wishing you Joy – but I didn’t get to share my card for Melanie Muenchinger’s set, Basket Additions.

First up is my card with Wishing you Joy.  Now when I was getting the stamps out of this set, I realized that you kinda get an extra one.  The center of the frame stamp is a circle stamp all on its own.  So after I stamped this little penguin, I masked him, inked up that circle, stamped it off once and then gave him a little background color.  Useful little stamp, if you ask me!

And here is what I made with Basket Additions…

Gina K Inspiration Blog Hop – Day 1

I am so very happy to be able to share this set with you today.  It is one that really means a lot to me.  Most of you  know that my Mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer late this last summer.  She is doing very well, although we found out today that she will have to chemo after all.  Mostly for precautionary measures, because we want her around for a long time, not to have it resurface in 10 years.  Still, either of those “c” words are just plain scary!

Anyway, Theresa Momber designed this gorgeous stamp set that can be used for any type of cancer.  You can color the ribbon however you like for whatever suits your purposes.  And for the first month, she will be donating the proceeds to cancer research!  Of course I had to make a card for my mom, if you are reading Mom – don’t look further!

Here is my card with Strength and Hope, it was also used for one of the Release Party Challenges that you can find {HERE}:

Happy Birthday!

Today was my husband’s birthday.  It was a gorgeous fall day here in Virginia.  The leaves are turning colors.  The weather was beautiful.  It has been terribly rainy, so this was a nice change.  Opened up all the windows and had a lovely breeze going through the house.  Of course it is going to rain again tomorrow, but it was nice while it lasted!

Anyway, when I sat down to make Matthew a birthday card – I knew I wanted something Fall-ish. I decided on Theresa Momber’s Celebrate the Season.  Perfect for fall cards!  I did change one of the stamps to work on my card – I cut the “Your” off the stamps so I could stamp it above the rest of the sentiment.  Worked perfectly!  Picked a bunch of fall colored copics and went to work!  Here’s what I came up with….

Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband, Matthew!

Home is where the heart is…

I missed the last blog hop since I was out of town surprising my mom for her birthday.  But I wanted to make sure I showed what I made anyway!  This was a perfect card for how I was feeling at the time.  It was so good to be able to spend that time back home with my mom and my stepdad.  Even more special because it was just my youngest, Adam, and I.  Kind of nice not to have everyone around and be able to spend more time with them both.

Here is something I made with Tami Mayberry’s Home Is. The images in this set are just so cute!  I paired it with papers from Echo Park’s Dots & Stripes collection.  The flowers were cut using some felt and various Spellbinders dies.  Finished it off with a little button accent.

Enjoy!
