My first ‘customer’!

I just packed up blocks for my first ‘customer’! So cool! And yes, I am a total dork. But I am really excited! A digi friend contacted me about the blocks I made earlier and asked about purchasing some. So we discussed options and she decided what she wanted and I made them! Pretty cool! Want to see what she picked?

supplies: basicgrey fruitcake, wooden blocks from Hobby Lobby, mod podge, sanding blocks, glimmer mist, making memories rub on letters – heidi font, and Plaid Acrylic Sealant.

So – a HUGE thank you to her!  I made these to go with them, as she is giving them as gifts….

supplies: Punchy Words by GinaK Designs; soft sky, cranberry crisp, white and old olive cardstock; basic grey fruitcake patterned paper; markers; cranberry crisp and old olive inks; punches; and dimensionals.  These measure 3×3.

Anyway, I’ve got two open house type things this month, 3 classes and a big Christmas Gift day class…..a lot of stuff, huh?  I am saving up to go to China this spring so I really hope these go well!  I need to see my girlies, ya know? I’ve got some more digi tutorials to share – but a lot of that has been on the back burner while I make things for these open houses.  Oh and if there’s ever anything on here that you wanna buy – feel free to ask away, lol!

Hi Emily, Congrats on your first sale! I think your blocks are great and you’ve inspired me to make something similar for end of year teacher gifts. (I live in Australia and school breaks up in about 6 weeks time). Good luck with saving up for your trip to China. My family and I moved away from my sister and her family about 2 years ago. We moved from one end of Australia to the other and I miss them all like crazy, still! I totally get that you NEED to see them! Thanks for all your inspiration on your blog. I love it and check it daily.

Congratulations on your first order! Those blocks look great and its such nice holiday themed paper. The matching cards are great too! Good luck on your classes and open house; what a great way to earn extra money!

  • Okay, I have looked all over the site- I thought I had seen a tutorial done for these but apparently not? Any chance for one- or at least a quick email/post on how exactly you did it?
