Post-its and pens – sparkly!

I think I will just apologize in advance for the lack of craftiness that will be shown in the next 2 weeks (at least, lol!). I’m just stressing about getting stuff ready and feeling totally not inspired to create. However, I do have a class Tuesday on using the Nestabilities in different ways – so I will have those to share. AND GinaK has a release scheduled for the 10th! So I’ll have some stuff for that. And let me tell you – you do NOT want to miss this release! I’ve seen the stuff and it’s uber cute!

Also I WILL be blogging from China. I’ll use Keith (Kimberly’s dh)’s laptop or something. I may not have a lot, but I should be able to put a few pics up or something. If not, I’ll direct you to pics on K’s blog and I”ll post mine when I get back. Thank you to all of you who wished me luck and a good trip. I appreciate it! I’m nervous about the travel part as I’ve never been outside of North America….and to do it by myself -well, I’m a little nervous!

However, one pretty cool thing is that a personal goal of mine was to go somewhere I needed a passport for before I turn 30. And I don’t turn 30 until April so I’ll just make it! Pretty sweet!

Now for the craftiness I actually do have to share with you. These are the other two projects we made for the pre-teen girls class Saturday. I was doing all cards, but then I thought they would probably love post-its and pens. I mean….what pre-teen girl doesn’t like writing little notes? So here’s what we made!

supplies: rsvp pen, Shabby Princess for Bo Bunny paper; micro beads, sticky strip, Dazzling Diamonds glitter; and oh so sticky paper. <pen tutorial here>

And then we did the post-it note holders – with sparkly stuff of course!

supplies: certainly celery cardstock; salsa celebration patterned paper; sakura glitter pen; prima; glue dot; $1 tree jewel; post-its; and scoring blade. <post-it tutorial here>

We just used the pen to outline the flowers – totally gave it a little more ooomph! And don’t forget that you can get one of those pens FREE with any purchase!

Go to Scrapbookpal.com.

Purchase *anything*! (These pens come in a two-pack, but you only get one pen FREE!)

Add the coupon code March on the view cart page (Just type March into the box for coupons and click *add to cart* and the free pen will appear! You do not need to add the pen to your card first!)

That’s it! And in case you needed something to purchase – I highly recommend the Mono Multi! It’s the Best Glue Ever! And they have the cheapest price I’ve ever seen – I always order mine there!

The coupon will expire 3/15/08!

    Emily,

There is nothing better than international travel. After the long flight, it is so fun to be in a new city, new culture, and a new experience. And Kimberly will be there as a little bit of home.

Good luck and have a great trip!

  • All the best with your China travels ! what fun ! love your creations & tutorials !

& I’ve nominated you for an award over at my blog !

  • Heyya,
I wish I could go with ya – I have never been to China but its on the “list”. One set of things I did learn when we were stationed in Europe is a list of things to carry with you at all times in a small backpack – a bottle of water, small portable snacks (non melty ones like peanuts and granola), toilet paper, and some medicines like tylenol, motrin, tums, and pepto tablets, extra batteries for camera and extra film or card because I always took more pics than I planned on…, and a hat (and of course all the usual ID/wallet/passport stuff).
    Have a great time!!!!
    Tera
