Before I go in to what was in the basket I made for the silent auction…..I just wanted to let y’all know that I will list the ribbon share info tomorrow  morning.  It will be first come, first serve.  But I wanted to give fair warning!  There will be 17 slots this time – and dang!  It was a lot of cutting!!

Ok, now on to what was in the basket.  This will be the first half of what I put in it.  All the items I made used Basic Grey 2 Scoops paper.  I was really frustrated when I used the last of the blue patterned paper that I had……cause there is no Recollections to run out and buy another sheet at!  The nearest store is over 30 mins away now…bummer!  I’m not going to list all the supplies used, but if you have a question – just ask!

First I made 1 1/2 in baby blocks and a nugget tin.  I put “for you” on the front of the tin.  Since I wanted to use the same paper on the chocolates, I just cut strips and wrapped them around the nuggets.  SU pink grosgrain and May Arts white ruffled ribbon

Then I re-covered this index card box from Target.  It’s the same line as my mini notebooks.  I got a few on clearance last year for .48, but I don’t think they carry them anymore.  I  modpodged the paper on then sanded the edges and sprayed it with acrylic sealant.  Topped it off with a prima!

Since it was a baby-themed basket, I figured Thank-you’s would be perfect.  I managed to fit 9 cards and envelopes in the little box.  I did 3 of each design.  Very simple cards, but I think it turned out really cute!  These are about 3×5….I can’t remember exactly what size.  I know SU!  sells notecards with envelopes in this size and they fit those boxes perfectly.  I used papertrey white cardstock and some envelopes I got on clearance when Recollections went out of business.  Thank you sentiments from (left to right): PaperTreyInk; A Muse Artstamps and GinaK Designs.

I also included 2 beaded pens, a mini Target notebook, and a post-it note holder.  I figured these would be great for writing those baby shower thank-you’s, keeping track of baby gifts or baby’s firsts, or questions for the pediatrician.   This time, I tried not mod podging the outside of the mini notebook.  I just mod podged the paper down and then sanded the edges. I did hold paper over the coils and spray sealant on it.  I think this looked nicer than the plastic-y look of mod podge.  We’ll see how it holds up!  I absolutely love the elegance those mini pearls add to projects.  I got mine at Hobby Lobby.

Alright – I’ll talk about the rest of what was in the basket tomorrow.  And keep watch for the ribbon share tomorrow morning!  (BTW, in case you read this on a reader – it will be posted Wednesday morning).
