Monograms – so cool!

Ok, so I saw these lovely monogram cards on Debbie’s blog <here> and I just had to get that stamp! So I checked it out and purchased this: C-45 DIY Monogram Kit by Just Rite Stamps. This is a really cool toy!

This version is fantastic for stamping large quantities as it has the ink pad inside. It comes with one reversible ink pad. One side is inked up with black ink. The other is left empty. So you can use any reinker you want in that side. And you can purchase more dry pads (each are reversible so will do 2 colors) and they even have a dry pad that allow you to ink the outer ring in one color and the center in another – very cool!

The really cool part is in the design. You get two alphas with the kit and the block to put them on has grooved lines on it. You just pop the letters in the grooves and pick your border and that’s it! It’s really cool because there’s no slippage of the letters! There are several combinations you can do with the two sizes (there’s examples on the packaging). And unlike an alpha stamp set – these are already fit together so it’s totally proportionate and perfect every time!

I am getting one of the other style without the self-inking part and I’ll tell you about that one then. But here’s what I made so far….and yes, the two color one was hand colored on the stamp each time, not fun with the self-inking stamper, but it turned out so good! This was a Teacher Appreciation gift for Adam’s prek teacher. She always likes getting cards and she’s been great – Alex had her last year.

supplies: JustRite c-45 Monogram stamper; flourish from Pollen Dust by Fancy Pants; flowers from PTI; berry blush, white, soft sky, basic black, and real red cardstock; satin ribbon from PTI; ruffled and striped ribbon from May Arts; white taffeta from SU; dimensionals; patterned paper from SU; and classic circle nestabilities.

So for her gift, I made 4 of each design….I had given her a few monogram cards as part of her Christmas gift and she commented that she really liked them and had used the last one the other day. So I figured a bunch would be a good gift….and I like these so much more than the other ones I made!

Here’s the whole set of them…

Classy, huh? I just love the simple elegance of it all…..makes me happy. Anyway, I’ve talked to The Stamp Castle about how cool I think this product is and they gave me a coupon code to share for FREE shipping! So check them out <here> and see what you think!

The coupon code is EMILY (caps sensitive). Just enter that at checkout and shipping will be FREE if your order is over $40! (And that’s for the regular priority shipping option.) The coupon will expire 5/31/08.

Ok, I’ve got some more stuff to show on the monogram front, but that’s all for tonight. Have a great Tuesday!

I bought this stamper before Christmas and did monogram cards for my friends daughter’s teachers. Of course I made some for my self and all of my coworkers received a set of 10 cards from me. They all loved them and they were so easy to do. I also got the extra pad to change the color! I am going to use your free shipping code and order another alphabet or something!!
Thanks for being a great enabler!!

  • Emily! I have a question for you–do you know of any place (online or physical location) where I can buy some inexpensive stickers? I’ve been buying mine at Publix and Wal-Mart for about $1. Is that the best I can do??? Thanks!!

    Hi Emily,

I’ve checked them out … do you know how fast they ship their items? I was thinking of ordering the manual one. Thanks.

  • Amy

I ordered 2 of the kits – Curlz and Special Occasions last week and am absolutely going NUTS waiting for them to arrive. I am a monogram fanatic so I flipped when I saw these!

  • Emily, thanks for the great testimonial. We are so happy that you love our product and want to share the JustRite news with all your blogging friends! We can’t wait to see what else you do with the Monogram Stamper.

  • I’ve had this on my Kaboodle list since I saw cards done by “No Time To Stamp”; but with your free shipping code, you’ve pushed me over the edge. 😀

  • Emily, you did a fantastic job on these–way to go!

  • What a fabulous gift for someone! They really turned out beautiful!

  • I went to the site after Debbie’s post, too, but I didn’t buy—-I really like these—thanks for the coupon code—now, I noticed that Debbie used 3 letters on some of her cards—-is that a totally different thing? Would I have to buy a different stamp thing? or did you just not use that? Thanks so much for the free shipping…..Mother’s day is just around the corner, right?? LOVE those cards~

  • O.K. you did it! I’m going to have to cave in and get this!!! 🙂

  • Emily,
I bought the one that you have, after I saw Debbie’s, but haven’t used it yet. I’m planning on making some cards for my son’s girlfriend who actually already graduated on Saturday. I’ll post a link here once I get mine done. Will you be showing the other one too? I’m thinking maybe I “need” that one too, in order to do different colors? Thanks for the coupon! Thanks for calling them too!

  • OMGosh, how gorgeous!!! …off to check it out…

  • Karen L.

Oh boy!! I, too, have been eyeing these for quite a while. You sold me today, but I left some big bucks behind. It’s like going to the grocery store for one item and coming out with an entire cart full. 🙂 I will be anxiously awaiting the order so I can create some cards, hopefully as pretty as yours.

  • Charlene H.

I love these cards Emily! I think I might have to check this out.

  • Queen Mary

Emily, I love the cards, checked out the site and ordered it, but FORGOT TO USE THE EMILY CODE!! So I paid for shipping! That’s OK, but I suspect they’re also keeping track of how many orders come from you — so let them know! Mary G

  • thanks for enabling me Em – yeah I think I NEED one of those!!! Oh and no I decided against using my cool caribbean on the swap cards, it’s definitely wrong to use it all up! lol I have to hoard it you know! See you on Saturday 🙂
