A quickie post to share another card from class this past week.  I will have another “Stuff I Like” post later today – and it will be about my long ago blog candy where I asked for envelope suggestions.  I’ve got some opinions to share from that!

Since it was a Watercoloring class – this doesn’t really qualify as watercoloring as we didn’t use any water.  But I really wanted to show the koh-i-noor pencils and OMS.  I’m glad I did because my friend Sharon C. came and mentioned she has them and hadn’t used them yet.  I hope that making a card with them at class helped her see how easy they are to blend with – so I expect to see some stuff using them in your gallery Sharon!

supplies: Peppermint image by Annie Lapoint for MFT; PTI white cardstock; patterned paper from Sassafrass Lass; koh-i-noor woodless pencils, OMS and blending stumps; classic rectangle nestabilities; Majestic Purple Dark cardstock from Prism; palette noir ink; white taffeta ribbon from SU; and dimensionals.

And yeah – I love flower stamps.  And yeah – I have *no* gardening skillz or knowledge of any kind.  So no, I don’t know if a peppermint plant can have purple flowers.  Seriously, I didn’t even know they flowered until I saw this stamp.  And what do ya know – the mint plant my Grandma sent home with me (from our trip to Missouri) flowered this week!  But it’s more white and green flowers.  Oh well.   I don’t care!

I think your card looks great and if you want purple flowers you should have them! The world would be dull if we couldn’t use our imagination and color.
    Great job – TFS

I also have a mint plant – and it does have the blue/purple flowers – it is a catmint also known as one of the species of catnip. Your colors are right on. Great card – Dru
