More quickie cards….

Here are two more cards we did at the Birthday stamp-a-stack.  I’ve got a class today making the Target Valentine Mailboxes – so I’ll show you what I’ve done with those this year later this evening!  But first – cute, quick birthday cards!

Those adorable cupcake stamps from Taylored Expressions are just so so cute!  Very easy to make a simple birthday card with them!

supplies: Sweet Celebration from Taylored Expressions; palette noir black ink; pink pirouette and basic gray reinkers;  niji waterbrush; going gray SU marker; self-adhesive jewel; Pure Luxury 120 lb cardstock; pink polka dot sheer ribbon from May Arts.

And then this was the card I made for the Birthday class – then I just modified a few things and made the ones for my Dad….{here}.

supplies: Father Knows Best by PTI; Amy Butler for K & Co patterned paper; Pure Luxury 120 lb cardstock; dark chocolate cardstock and ink; ocean tides ink; SU olive (or is it kiwi?) patterned paper; kiwi kiss ink; classic rectangle nestabilities; and dimensionals.

And when we did that one – we laid the tree panel down, but did not adhere it.  Then traced a light pencil line across the top.  We used that to stamp our sentiment, then just covered the line with the image.  Easy peasy!  Ok, I’ve got to finish setting up for the Mailbox class – more on those later!

  • I have your blog on my Reader list, love every post! These quick and beautiful cards are my favorites–thanks for the inspiration.

  • Emily, this is a bit off subject, but you mentioned the Target Valentine Mailboxes, which led me to think about the Target notebooks. I went to Target to get a few of those notebooks to decorate last week and they didn’t have any. I am wondering do they still carry them at your store? Thanks!

Funny how you should put the link to your mailbox tutorial on today’s post – I came to your blog tonight to re-read that tutorial! I just sat down with the Target mailboxes that I bought last year (that I never got around to altering) and I was going to wing it, but I decided I better not and instead look up the directions on your blog.

    Cute cards BTW!

Your cards are adorable! I cannot wait to see what you did with the mailboxes this year!
