New things added!

Wow, this has been the worst week!  It all started with Alex throwing up Wednesday morning before school.  He was home sick until Friday when I woke at 5am with a fever of 102.  Yep, Adam and I have strep AGAIN!  And not only the sore throat kind, the kind that is a total sinus-infection-like as well!  Fun!  And Friday was my birthday!  Needless to say we did not celebrate.  I am starting to feel human again, meaning I can actually breathe a little bit.  Anyway, thank you to those of who sent lovely birthday cards!  The boys were really sweet and helpful, we just played Lego Star Wars on the Wii and assembled some Star Wars Legos Andy had.  All in all, a nice quiet evening.  Which was about all I could handle!

Now for the good news – Joanne, from The Stamp Castle, informed me that she has replenished the stock a bit on the website.  I know a few of you had emailed me and said things were already gone – well, hurry on over because some of it is back in stock!

I was working on some early Mother’s Day gifts again and I made these for my SIL, Tiff….I liked them so much, I made myself some too!

A belated Happy Birthday Emily, and I hope you’re feeling better! If you do, you’ve got some celebrating to do. Enjoy!!

Yuck…I hate Strep throat! Thought I’d share a random story for you about our experience with this nasty bug. For 2 years it seemed like every two months or so someone in my family would have strep. We finally decided to have our whole family checked at the same time (you may have to beg your doctor to do this) and 2 of us tested positive even though we did not have the symptoms. After having all 6 of us on antibiotics at the same time we have been strep free for 2 years!

    Enjoy feeing better!

  • I just wanted to thank you for introducing me to scrapbookpal.com. I ordered adhesive at an amazing price with free shipping last Tuesday and received it on Thursday!

    Hi Emily,
Sorry to hear that your household has been sick. And for your birthday even! Hope you can have a celebration when you’re feeling more up for it. On a goofy side note, did you notice that those skulls on the designer paper on your cards do some crazy things to your eyes when you scroll them up and down. (I know, I’m weird.)
    Feel better soon!

  • Emily, we must be soul sisters, I had a similar occurrence on Easter Sunday, which also happened to be my birthday. I also was worried I would give it back to my girls, since they both had it in March, but I pretty much made them blow me kisses for 4 days. I ended up having to go on 2 meds, b/c the strain I got was resistant to the first. Didn’t help that I had started a new Jillian Michaels workout on Sunday, so I thought the achiness was from her!! Till I took my temp and it was 101. The next 4 days were the sickest I can remember being in at least 5 years since my youngest. Sending healthy wishes your way!!!
