My Swap Day card

Finally!  I can show the card I did for the shoebox swap.  It’s kind of a combo of several cards that I did awhile back.  I used a color combo from a past challenge…..one I ended up liking a lot more than I anticipated.  So here it is!

This used Wild About You.  I inked the lion in More Mustard and stamped it on white cardstock.  I punched that out with the mega oval punch.  Then I colored the head with more mustard and chocolate chip markers and cut it out.  It was mounted on a dimensional to give the guy a little pop.  I sponged around the oval with cool carribbean ink.  Then glued it on a chocolate chip scalloped oval.  The mustard strip behind the oval was stamped with linen in more mustard ink.  The cool caribbean panel is stamped in paisley with cool caribbean ink.  I tied chocolate chip ribbon around the caribbean panel.  It is mounted on a chocolate chip card front.

I hope everyone liked it!  I did pre-stamp the two background stamps so that it wouldn’t take too long to put together.  Don’t hate me for making you cut out the lion head, lol!

I’ve got something super special to show you tomorrow!

  • This is super cute Emily! I love the color combo. Wouldn’t of thought to put more mustard with cool caribbean!
