I saw the crayon resist technique challenge this week and knew right away what I wanted to do! Enjoy!

I tried this card with glossy cardstock and with whisper white cardstock. I can’t decide which I like better! I stamped the castle stamp in black stazon. I traced various parts with a white crayon. Then I sponged sahara sand and creamy caramel over the castle. Really rust is sponged on the flag and Summer Sun on the sunshine. Then I finished it off with some brocade blue for the sky area. I ran a kleenex over the images to make sure the crayon didn’t have any ink clinging to it. Then I ran my stazon pad around the edges of the image panel. I mounted it on summer sum. The brocade blue panel was made into a scalloped edge using the SU corner rounder with the guard off. Then I punched holes in the scallops using a 1/16 punch. I glue that blue panel down and tied some white polka dot organdy ribbon around it. I mounted the image panel on to with dimensionals. Then the sentiment is stamped in black stazon on a kraft base.

These were all done using GinaK’s summer stamp line. If you haven’t heard about her new scalloped stamp designs, you must check them out! How cool to have doodles, lines, dots, etc all ready to go in a stamp!!! They fit perfectly into the Marvy punches too! Ovals, circles, squares, oh my! Seriously, check them out! They are even on sale right now to kick them off!  She’s even giving away blog candy to celebrate the release!
